How do I know if I have an animal in my attic? If you often hear scratching, running, and/or stumping noises consistently for more than a couple of days, the chances are you have unwanted visitors.
If I have raccoons or squirrels in my attic, what's next? Remain Calm! Contact your local professional wildlife control company.
If I ignore the problem, will it go away? Absolutely NOT! The more you procrastinate, the more damage the animal causes to your property, such as Structural damage, Insulation damage & more.
How do you get the animals out of my attic/chimney/garage? There are different methods used. Depending on the season and the given situation, trapping, snaring, or a one-way door might be used.
What is a one-way door? It is a device which allows the animal to get out on their own and not be able to get back in from the same hole.
What if there is more than one animal inside? It’s OK! All animals can get out one by one from the one-way door.
What if there are babies in my attic? If there are babies inside your attic, we must be able to access them physically. After physical retrieval they will be placed in an insulated box near the entry hole where they are relocated to another location by the mother.
Is Live Trapping a good idea?
Live trapping is not the best solution due to the following reasons:
- Live traps are not targeted to a specific animal. You may catch an animal, but not the one causing the problem. You could catch one of five animals living in a specific area.
- Setting a trap and relocating a nursing mother can cause babies to starve and die in a chimney or inside of walls. This causes terrible odor problems.
- Trapping and relocating alone does not fix the problem. There are many places that animals can use to get into your house such as roof vents, roof pipes and chimneys. The best way is taking prevention measures and sealing all potential entry points.
